Are you facing the prospect of root canal treatment?

Let’s look after you.

I fully understand the concerns patients experience about any major treatment, especially root canal treatment. Knowing this, I make it my mission to ensure my patients are comfortable and assured as we work through this treatment together.

There are few dental treatments that strike more anxiety and fear into patients than root canal work. Why is that?

In the past, this view might have been warranted, but with access to vastly improved treatment protocols and technology, root canal treatment is not what it used to be. Actually, in many instances, it can be pain-free!

Before commencing any root canal treatment, Dr Nimesh will take time to explain the process and ensure you are comfortable about the:

  • Duration of treatment – usually between two and three visits
  • Management of pain – we offer a range of options for managing concerns
  • Tooth’s appearance after treatment – your tooth should appear no different, with any discolouration fully treatable

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When is root canal treatment a good choice?

When a tooth’s nerve supply becomes infected – usually through advanced decay or a fracture – there is a risk the infection could spread, causing the tooth to become damaged and an abscess to develop. Long term, the tooth may require removal. For both dentist and patient, tooth extraction is the least desirable treatment route.

Despite the bad press root canal treatment gets, did you know the treatment can be virtually pain-free, with numerous sedation and pain management options available?
